I know a wonderful mohel, based in NY but willing to travel.
He usually gets $500 but willing to accept whatever you can afford to pay.
He did both my kids. One was a preemie.

The mohel who did our first bris said the kit he buys for each bris costs him over $500 alone, even without anything going to him. We paid 600-700 each time (don't exactly recall) - two different mohels.

The equipment a mohel needs for a bris can be purchased for around $100 from a surgical supply. The cost of sterilizing it between uses is minor, all it takes is a pressure cooker and some peroxide. I can't imagine what he buys for every bris that costs $500.
