A friend of mine had a truancy officer come to the house and take her kids to school. She cooperated with the school who called the officer.

Who informs the truancy officer that there's a truant child? The school calls 'em?

How many days of missed school qualifies as truant? Gosh, I know of a coupla parents who struggle with this issue, of kids who refuse to go to school, it may help to advise them of this resource. This is for kids age 13 and up? Not for a twelve-year-old?
Gonna call this woman whose 14 year old stays home...
