I am not very fashionable and I am a horrible shopper. I struggle to find tsnius dresses in stores (especially in the spring and summer of course) so I have been hunting online and coming up with bupkis.
I have an event coming up I would like to look nice for, but I need to be able to use the dress again. Either for events/simchas or work (corporate accounting). I just don't have the budget for a one time dress.
Here's the inspiration:
http://www.brooksbrothers.com/.....ivals
Things I Want:
navy blue
eyelet or lace detail at least somewhere on the dress
Things I Don't Want:
I do not want to have to layer with a shell or cardigan
I'm not crazy about the belt or buttons so those could easily go
Also, I'm on a budget so the cheaper the better. The only way I could spend as much as this Brooks Brothers dress is if it was so stinking perfect I never took it off.
Anybody up for the challenge?

Another above I was looking at another dainty jewels dress but hesitant to order from them because I didn't see any real reviews aboiht them
Were u happy with your purchase? Did what you buy fit right away or did u have to do any returns? Did you use their assistance in determining sizing? What do u think of the quality?

I am not the poster who posted about dainty jewels but I recently ordered a dress from their website for my daughter and it is gorgeous. She is wearing it a big simcha coming up and it really is nice!

Dainty Jewells has reviews on their site and I found them helpful. I'm always a women's small and the small fit fine.
I thought the quality was very good for the price. Good quality lace and lining, zippers etc.

No, they are Apostolic, not jewish. I'd put the quality along the lines of Ann Taylor.
Also check out the Dainty jewels girls section!!

It might be a little to light, since it's a more royal blue. It's an Israeli brand and I recently got it and love it! I wear it with a gold belt, gold shoes and gold necklace with stockings for shabbos. You don't need a shell or anything! I had to take it up, but it's easy to hem

Does it have to be navy and have to have lace? Meaning, is it for a wedding and they want the maid of honor to wear something lacy and navy blue, to match the bridesmaids?
Or is this just a personal preference of yours inspired by that pretty Brooks Brothers dress?
I am asking because you may have a better chance of finding something modest and both event-
and work-appropriate of you relax some of the criteria you imposed.

Thank you everyone so much for the responses! So many choices now!
I looked at the Dainty Jewels options and loved them so I showed them to DH. He really likes them as well and thinks that's the way I should go.
But... I'm not quite convinced I want to spend that much. Not that it doesn't seem worth it, the dresses are beautiful. I just may go with one of the amazon options instead to save money.
I'm going to mull this over...
Thank you again everyone!!

BabsB, just wanted to point out that some of these dresses may still need fixing and won't have perfect off the hanger ready for tznius necklines.

How about Talbot's? They often have dresses that are modest and work-appropriate.
https://www.talbots.com/online.....10189
There is one (Item# P461786) that is very similar to the one you posted but it only costs $169. It comes in periwinkle blue, but not navy...
Also (comes in navy) # P710786.
Or how about this? (Not sure if the neckline/sleeves are okay for you):
Item # T226787
I tried posting links, but it didn't work.
