I hoped there might be a handy woman here who can advise me!
On my light switch a tiny piece broke off the rim so the button is a little loose and the light won't turn on unless I hold it down. It is the actual button not the switch plate. Can I fix this myself or I need a electrician? I'm clueless and my landlord is difficult

I'd just buy a new switch and replace it. There are a number of YouTube videos that will walk you through this process.
