The recipe is:
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Some people put in cucumbers
Taco chips-regular or BBQ
The dressing is mayonnaise and salsa. I don't really know measurements but I just make it up and then taste it and add accordingly.

I really like this salad-it's one of my favorites!

The 1st time I saw this recipe was when a friend made it by a friends shower that I made a few yrs ago. I always wanted to make it, so about 2-3 weeks ago, I made the salsa (don't have salsa here) and got something like taco chips (can't get that either). Come shabbos, I get the whole salad ready except for mixing it until we sit down to eat. I'm sitting and eating it and then realize, after almost the whole bowl was finished, I forgot to put in the chips Rolling Eyes LOL . Not only that, I went special to this store that sells the chips to buy them. Oh well, I'll try again another time.

I use Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado and Onion.
Add some Chips.

Dressing is Mayo and Salsa. I try to do 75% salsa and 25% mayo.

I have also added ground beef or turkey that was saute'd in taco seasoning. This is always a big hit and is gobbled up quickly!!

I use romaine, tomato, cucumber, pepper, canned corn, and avocado. Dressing is either salsa and mayo, or my preference, taco sauce and mayo.

Oh and of course the tortilla chips. Smile

It always GOES.

...for the argentinians....

in Jumbo they sell (in the imported section) products from Casa Fiesta. You have to check each of their things, some have the star-K hechsher, the others don't.
But they have salsa, and tortilla chips..

There were times I made a taco dinner into a salad.
Brown meat with Ortega spice packet. Toss with lettuce and cut up veggies. Add broken up tacos. Serve taco sauce on the side for those who like to drizzle that on their salad.
