We wanted to change our kitchen floor tiles but the cabinets were built on top of the floor- it's old- and the flooring guy said you can't change it without changing all the cabinets because they will sink when you remove the tiles. Is there any way around this? If it makes a difference we want to install luxury vinyl tile and we currently have ceramic tile. We were thinking to install it on top of the current floor but he said we can't because we have cracks in the tile and it's uneven.
