So I opened the washer door and it smelled terrible so I figured I'll run a basket clean cycle. However I had already put detergent into the dispenser since I was planning to throw in a load on a delayed start. I figured how bad can detergent be and just started the cleaning cycle.
My whole machine is filled with sudsy bubbles from top to bottom now. Is it problem?? Hope I didn't kill my machine

It shouldn't be a problem. It always gets that sudsy, you just see all the bubbles clearly because there isn't any laundry in it.
I would run the cycle again on the hottest setting with a cup of vinegar, because part of the smell could be caused by detergent buildup.
