I am looking for some amazing ideas for day trips for my husband, and kids 6 and 3.5,( I will be working)
Can travel about half hour to 45 min..
We live in staten island.
I was thinking about bronx zoo one day.
Any thoughts ideas?

Brooklyn Bridge Park (and Governers Island)
Kids in Action (they have pizza lunch you can purchase there)
Staten Island Children's Museum

If you're in Staten Island, I would take SI Ferry to lower Manhattan, and from there take the ferry to Governor's Island - lots of fun, plus some extra boat rides!
