So my son is the youngest in his class and just finished pre1a with a Rebbe. He thankfully does very with Kriah and he's very smart. Always knows answers to everything in the parsha. I'm a little worried for first grade the work starts getting harder... I would wana leave him back especially he's the youngest , but he's in a small school and all his friends are going up to first grade , he will be very embarrassed being the only one left in primary / pre1a.
Any suggestions?

Is he ready academically and socially? Is he mature enough, are his motor skills up to par? If so, move him up with his friends.
