I don't fast great and it's hot here so I am looking for suggestions for a movie appropriate for an 8 year old to watch Tsha B Av afternoon. Any suggestions? I am looking for something other then the usual Jewish DVD's. I usually let my older kids watch something I have researched regarding the Holocaust like the Boys with the Yellow Star etc but I can't think of anything appropriate for this young one. Does it exist?

If you can push it to after chatzos it would be better. See how things go.
Is it a girl or a boy? Would something semi sad be appropriate like the old Annie? Charlotte's Web? Bambi?

I know its not ideal but I will allow my kids to watch the marvelous middos machine. They have the episodes on youtube.
But only after chatzos.

History Channel might have some appropriate videos (albeit not movies).

Other than that, Ben Hur? I'm grasping at straws here.

I don't recall details but last year one of the Chabad websites had children's programs. They charged a small fee.
I am not Chabad and let my kids participate. It was not geared solely to Chabad.

Google Tisha Baav Children's videos. There are a lot online eg Yitzy Erps, Aish. You may want to look before to see if it is ok for you/him.

The Chofetz Chaim Foundation makes a kids video too they suggest ages six and up. Younger can watch, but they won't get it.

Is it online or something that has to be purchased ahead of time?

No idea, I only know that it's advertised in my community, shown in someone's house.
