It's been safety tested. Look into it yourself.
The carseat itself is a game changer and makes your life a million times easier not to mention any kind of travel like on plane.

Any piece of baby equipment has to go through a rigorous testing process, and pass a certain grade before being marketed to the general public. The doona has gone through the same testing and safety procedure as any other car seat out there. The safety is no issue here. It's just as safe as any other brand. You have to consider the convenience/price aspect of it. Are you in and out of the car a lot? If so it can be super efficient. On the other hand it cenrtainly weighs more than a regular car seat due to the integrated wheels, but you also carry it a lot less. So it really boils down to a personal preference and personal budget.
