Looking to tear up our carpet that always faintly smells. I know that installing a floor can be exorbitant, so what type of floor that is appropriate for a basement will give me the best bang for my buck?

Vinyl hardwood look planks are the best for a basement.
Totally waterproof, cheap and looks so pretty!

Which type of installation is the cheapest? Note: we cannot do ANYTHING ourselves.
Thanks :-)

Which would last longest in a basement | Plank or tile because if it scratches, breaks or anything happens, you can just replace the few affected ones rather than replacing the entire floor.
