Last month we lost power for 3 days. I had some raw corned beef I was going to make for Sukkot. It was expensive and I don't have the ability to buy more. We kept the freezer closed the whole time. By the end of the power cut the meat had completely defrosted but was still cold. Online research says it has to be 40 degrees F or less for it to be safe. I didn't have a thermometer and have no idea what the temperature of the meat was.
Would you serve this to guests for Yom Tov?
Thanks

no. I would be way too worried. If I was almost positive it would be fine then I'd eat it myself but I wouldn't serve it to other people.

No.
When we had a power outage and the meat began to thaw, I cooked all the meat in my freezer.
We had a BBQ for friends then friends let me store some cooked brisket, etc in their freezers

Did you cook it then? If yes, I don't see a problem if it was still cold. Also, isnt corned beef pickled, which adds a layer of preservation?

I didn't cook it. Will prob throw it away based on the answers from here. Maybe it's fine but I wouldn't want to risk getting my family or guests sick.

Dont throw it away
Butchers redress cold meat and chicken all the time ( so says my friend, the daughter of a butcher)
If the meat was cold there should be no problem
Prepare it and have a backup plan just in case you can't eat it

It’s highly unlikely it’s a problem if it was still cold. Also it’s pickled which helps preserve it. And you cook the heck out of corned bref
