Our washer is damaging our clothes. Our clothes are coming out stained , and cottons are coming out stretched in some spots. The damaged clothes (teens) are costing a pretty penny.
The machine is over 20 yrs old.
Seems to me it's time to get a new one.
Any recommendations?
What to look out for?
We do about 6- 8 loads a week.
Also, is there an advantage to having a gas vs electric stackable?
Thanks!

I have a whirlpool or Maytag stackable, it's not really a stackable but a front loader with a stacking kit for dryer on top. If you have space for something larger than the standard stackable it's definitely worth it.

Unfortunately, I have just enough space for a traditional stackable :-(
Costco has a whirlpool, and it's got a lot of negative reviews.
