I'm looking into switching to Fidelis Health Insurance (a "metal" plan through the NY State Exchange). Most of the hospitals in my county (Nassau) seem to participate in this plan. However, when I search for emergency rooms in their network, these hospitals don't come up. Does this mean that we wouldn't be covered for emergency room visits? TIA

You would.
I wonder if it's not listed because emergency rooms have to care for everyone regardless of if you have insurance and which one

Thanks. Do you know this based on experience with Fidelis or because, as you say, emergency rooms have to care for everyone?
