We have the same sit down every year but we alternate houses and the actual dishes get changed every year. But we always do the same thing.

Party 1: Tentative menu: Latkes, grilled chicken, sausages, pasta and meat sauce, salad. Doughnuts.
Party 2. Mac and cheese, salmon, salad, latkes.

I like doing dairy. This is my typical party:
Dairy Caesar salad
Eggplant Parmesan
Cheese blintzes
Potatoe latkes
Cheese latkes
Lasagna
Cheese cake
Everyone helps themselves

Decor is the fun part! I’m taking a long mirror (like a wall full length mirror) and in the center I got 8 thick white wax candles and big one for our shammash so that it’s a menorah. I got blue pebbles and silver pine cone ones from the dollar store to and silver dreidels to spread around. Blue nosh in clear cyllander vases.
Activity for the kids: make donuts from frozen pizza dough. Have kids decorate and fill with custard or jelly. Yummy!
Food: probably pizza or something store bought
