I am visiting NY and I would like to buy something really good for dessert for my hosts. I have never been too impressed with anything store-bought in NY b4 and just wandering if anyone has any good suggestions. I am staying in CH but BP would be fine too!
thanks

My dd is going to be making cakes from her home again. Anyone interested, pm me and I'll get her details for you. She's in CH.

For those of you that live in BP, and have been to Friedman's and have seen those gorgeous cakes by the take out counter, just wanted to let you know that I was brave enough to try one. I bought the one that's called Night and Day for dessert for one Shabbos and it is....ABSOLUTELY HEAVENLY!!!
It's got a layer of choc cake a layer of vanilla cake , choc mousse, vanilla mousse, and a touch of lemon flavor for a tangy kick. It may look and sound really rich and creamy, but it is so light and fluffy, you feel like you're literally inhaling the cake. YUM!!!
