My mil used to buy a roll of vinyl flooring to cover the counters, and then just cut it to the size of the counters as needed. Then taped onto surfaces with counter tape. I liked that it was thick as easy to wipe down. She also taped it up against the backsplash.

We bought the cheapest vinyl flooring from Home Depot. Measured the counters before we went- it was sold on a roll. It’s quite strong and cleans easily.

These questions are for both of you:
What us counter tape? Is that what it us actually called?
If I buy a piece of a roll, do they cut it to size for me or can it be cut with scissors at home?
Thanks so much!!
