Have you read it? What did you think? I wasn't sure I wanted to read it, and almost at every point within the book I felt like it was kefira...but I was trying to read it as a novel. I was intrigued and upset at the liberties taht the author took with our av and em, although I guess I asked for it by reading the book to begin with. How about you?

never heard of it but this seems to be common. Secular authors write books without actually reading meforshim or medrashim or anything actually out there. If they had they would realize that's much more interesting than what they make up out of their heads. (And I'm saying this as a dovotee of creative fiction btw) We've got The Red Tent, Rashi's Daughters.
