We are leaving our current community, and I would like to get a nice gift for my husband's Rebbie. They have become really close, and I became pretty close with his wife while living here. I was thinking to get something nice for the house, but I can't figure what to get. Any ideas?

How much do you want to spend?

Something silver, (salt shaker even) or update their Challah Cover or anything that beautifies a Shabbos table. And thank them for "beautifying" your life with their presence in it...just the perfect ta'am... Etc

Whatever you buy, please make sure to add an exchange voucher. That way recipient won't be uncomfortable to exchange the item if it's not suitable and item will be appreciated (which is what you want or should want!)
I don't recommend wall art or pictures at all (unless you are 100% sure that this is what the person wants). We once got a pretty large picture from DH's morning shiour. Not an expensive one (B'H) but large and not our taste at all. I ended up being put out on the street (hefker) for someone else to enjoy.
Biggest mistake is to buy something that you think is stunning and you kind of "know" that recipient isn't that crazy about it. Giving a gift is all about recipient's taste, not yours.
