A imamother from a different thread seemed dis appointed about her pesach cleaning and I have some tips that help. So here goes. Anyone has more? Great. I'd love to hear some new ones.
Plastic dishes as often as possible, even Pesach.
Kitchen first, then bedrooms.
Floors only bedikas chumets day. I will do it then anyway, so why twice.
Storage closet is Not chometz, leave it out and sell.
Outside of windows is not chometz. ..
Whatever I sell just make sure there's no heavy chometz and leave out.
Pockets of clothing that won't be used, sell.
My clothes shelves and hanging closet has no chometz, leave out. Only children's I do.
Soaps n detergents, no chumets.
Ceiling, only in kitchen.
Special pesach closet with shelves so I don't unpack and line the kitchen cabinets. (Saves a week)
Things that don't make much of a difference halachically, but I want to do it anyway, like negel vasser and hampers, I give to kids.
Get help from good-hearted teenagers for the day and treat them to a restaurant lunch.
Salami sandwiches for supper is perfect for now. Now is the time.
To do list hanging on freezer and old-enough kids may choose what they want to do and then scratch off. When they come back to choose something else they find some more items scratched off. This is extremely encouraging to continue to work.
I use alarms on my phone as reminders. I have 12 reminderss running. 5 for a daily basis.
Spring cleaning is for the months before purim and after pesach.
A kusherin and freilichen pesach
