We haven't used the other brands, but we have always heard that Benjamin Moore is best.

Benjamin moore goes on really nicely for a DIY job & I love some of their colors.
But I don't find it more scrub-able, to be honest. If the wall gets dirty or sticky & I rub too hard w a wet wipe the paint will come off. I was very surprised by that. Maybe that's because we did it ourselves, and not a professional. Or maybe bec we used no separate primer, just 1 coat of paint etc. I'm not sure.

I found behr paint a lot harder to apply and not as nice a finish.

My house is painted with Benjamin Moore. It is washable without paint coming off. We used both shiney and flat. The surfaces are flawless.

Former interior designer here. Benjamin Moore is the way to go!

Use a primer!

Use the right finish for the room. Semigloss or gloss in areas that are high traffic or tend to get dirty, like bathrooms and kitchen.

Gloss ONLY for trim around doors and windows.

Semigloss or matte for living rooms and bedrooms (it looks more relaxing.)

For saturated and dark colors, use a tinted primer, and do two coats. You won't regret it.

Get a mold retardant to add into all your paint. This will keep your home healthier, and protect you if you get water damage.

a full prime always makes the paint job better ...

but no need to buy expensive paints just because everybody else is doing it [or same colours your 10 neighbors down the block + your relatives in lakewood/brooklyn/cleveland chose] - especially the marquee which claims to be a one coat quick deal ... they are too sticky to go on smoothly [sort of like old nail polish]

flat paints vs semi-gloss hide mars better or if you must then try the in between choices of eggshell or satin which are less shiny & harsh

Whatever walls I had professionally done were with Benjamin Moore paint. That wall is in the kitchen and is pretty high gloss and still does not clean so well and also is chipping in many places.
All my other walls we did ourselves with Home Depot paint . I think it's called "Ovation" and those walls clean easier and look beautiful and the Lowes Valspar paint. I think they are equally good.
