I've heard of companies that deliver 3 diet meals and 2 snacks a day to your door. Basically it's like someone does the cooking, calorie counting and shopping for you and all you have to do is eat what is put in front of you. The meals are left outside your door in a cooler early in the morning. I thought this was a great idea and was wondering if it would work in frum communities if there were to be a kosher company that did this (or maybe there is one already?)

I've seen ads for this in the five towns. so I guess it's a good idea- too bad someone thought of it first!

How ridiculous. You can cook healthy for an entire family for less than that.

From my experience, frum people are very very wary of spending money on diet products. Also, the idea you suggested seems more applicable to a busy single who has no time/interest to shop, cook.

OR people who have a lot of money.

We have good friends that buy shabbos take out EACH week. and then toss any leftovers without blinking at end of meal.

Their shabbos bill is not cheap.....

In the outside world ready to eat meals r almost standard. They buy frozen dinners, or eat out more than a yiddishe family does.( look at the freezer section at shoprite, all those frozen dinners.)

such dietetic food deliveries r for working(high salary)people who put there job first, so they have no time to patchke with healthy food. money by them is not an issue.

I know someone who did it. Hes about 40 works very hard and needed to lose weight and didnt want to be bothered. He had them sent to his office, anyway he lost the wieght.
It can be good for some people, alot if diets require different things, some you cant eat carbs and you end up buying alot of fish and meat and like this everything is done for you....

I have a single friend who is doing this. She complains about the cost, but has been on this plan for months - since before Purim, I think. I don't know how she can afford it. She's lost weight, though.

I think the poll should've had a fourth option, would pay if were rich!. Truth is I'm always on a diet and I have to make 2 diff. suppers almost every night. My family will not eat broccoli or stringbeans, etc. ,unfortunately. Nor do they need to. If money would be no object I would be the first on their delivery list!
