We have posted some great recipes to help you get through Chanukah without sabotaging your lifestyle choices
Here is just one example
Cabbage Latkes (Pancakes)
Low Carb, Low Fat / Yield: 10-12 servings
2 cups cabbage, finely grated
1 whole egg plus 2 egg whites
1 scallion, chopped (see Tip on p. 42)
2 tablespoons soy or whole-wheat flour
salt and pepper to taste
non-stick cooking spray
1 tablespoon canola oil
Place the cabbage in a 4-cup bowl. With a wooden spoon, mix in the eggs and scallion. Add flour and season to taste.
Using wet hands, form latkes and fry on both sides over medium-high heat. For frying, see Tip in previous recipe.

Doesn't this seem like an ad for your cookbook?

it can be, but I think she is doing this to be nice. I have it so it won't make me go buy another one. It will just make me look at the recipe.

At first glance I imagine that it could look like an ad for the book--but perhaps you need to see the book in order to understand that this is the first time that people are not only being told what they have to do but finally being given a tool on how to do it
We at JDA are very proud of this labor of love and that it is helping thousands of people finally face the challenge of combining a traditional Jewish lifestyle while coping with chronic conditions such as diabetes--even more is the fact that most of these conditions can be prevented with even small lifestyle changes--the book also helps support the work that is being done by no other organization and has no paid staff--health wise our generation is in a very precarious situation and really needs to start making changes---you are more than welcome to join our staff of volunteers
so we wish you all a very freilichin (happy) & lichtig (light) EnLITENed Chanukah

thanks for the chizuk and yes it was a chesed, but I would not want to call anyone mean, perhaps bitter or unhappy about something and ppl do have different views on things--and not everyone has to like the book--but Lani since you are creative I'm sure you can imagine how much work went in to this and you could have written me personally--positive criticism is always good--I also think that there is no reason to continue this tit for tat and rather we should all wish each other hatzlachah in what ever our endeavors are and a very happy and enjoyable chanukah
