Do you mean that everyone that applies to camp get accepted? I thought they can’t accept everyone because they get full.

Usually they wont take applications once they are full. Its not like some schools where one is REJECTED. Why not just call the camp abd ask whats going on?

There are some camps whose programs fill up quickly, especially teen/TC programs. Call the camp and ask them what's going on.

Let’s say a camp can safely take 300 campers and they get 350 applications typically they’ll accept returning campers first. Then siblings. Then alumni kids. Family members of staff. Then the rest they have to make decisions. Bais yaakov camps will do research on campers to see if they are a good fit (ie no English music, knee socks, et mc)
I think it’s still early for letters to go out. But call the camp to find out.

I didn't either. They had said acceptance letters go out, or arrive I don't remember, and of December.

Yes, but I would imagine it depends on the camp. Most will send a letter stating they are full and do you want to go on the waiting list.

Call the camp. I once applied to a camp and got zero response, even when my friends already got in. When I called them, they told me they had never received my application!

My DD got wait listed for Agudah Midwest. Does anyone know if wait listed girls actually end up getting accepted or should we start looking for other options (not that there are any at this point...)? We literally applied the day registration opened and my daughter's teacher said they never even called her for a reference.

The camp I work in hasn't sent out letters yet. Applications went out on Chanukah.

I was rejected from a mainstream BY camp. My “friend”’s mom called and badmouthed me to the staff.
Rejection from camp is not common, but it happens.
