I finally decided I have room for 2 large bins and that's it. So whatever I think I'll use and fits there - great. If I want to add more and it doesn't fit, then I have to take something out for in order to put something in.

I don't allow anymore bins in the basement. Because by the time you remember to bring them up the season/size has passed and the clothes can't be used.

Good shabbos dresses and pleased uniform skirts hat will be used within 3 years have to stay hanging in the closet so I see them/remember about them, and so they don't get creased.

My general rules:

1.Underwear and socks in good condition get handed down to a same gender sibling close in age. If there is none, those items get thrown out. If it's not in good condition it gets thrown out.
2. PJs and clothing in good condition get handed down to same gender sibling close in age, if I like the clothing enough. If there is no same gender sibling close in age or I don't especially like it, those items are given away. If it's not in good condition it gets thrown out.
3. Baby clothing in good condition get saved regardless of next baby status. Not in good condition gets thrown out.

At the end of the day, I have limited storage space, and these rules help me keep to my limitations.
