This is what I do,

Melt 1/2 stick of margerine with 1 container of fluff and 1 1/2 tsp vanilla.
I mix it all up and then slowly add 1 box of rice crispies about 2 two cups at a time to prevent a massive mess (I use a really big pot). Then I press it down into two 9 by 13 pans and let it cool. cut into squares and enjoy!

Our family sometimes adds chocolate chips and peanut butter to the treats!

Then you put it in the freezer and cut it when its cold.

Very yummy, and I was looking up a recipe for rice crispie treats online, go to google.com and type in "recipe rice crispie treats" and they pop right up.

I've never added vanilla, sounds yummy. My kids also like to add food coloring. Take off the heat to add the rice crispies. Also you can cut them at any temp.

If the Rice Krispies are not as crisp as you'd like, bake them in the oven for about 10 minutes on a low temperature in a single layer.
Stale rice krispy treats are just not good Sad

I also add Peanut Butter and karo syrup (melted) to the krispies(makes it very gooey) and top with a layer of melted choc chips, freeze and cut when slightly defrosted. Last in freezer for a long time.

Here it is:

1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. white Karo syrup
1 c. smooth peanut butter
5-6 c. Rice Krispies
1 bag chocolate chips

Heat sugar and Karo until melted and combined. Add peanut butter and heat and mix until combined. Remove from stove and add Rice Krispies. Mix well and spread into a well greased 9x13 inch pan. Melt choc. chips over fire, spread over krispies mix. Cool in freezer and cut into bars.

You can make it last minute, just leave maybe 20-30 mins to cool them off in the freezer before slicing. they will defrost quickly.

Koshe by design entertain has a very nice and elegant rice krispie recipe. After you make it then you cut it into triangles, and I just use a triangle cookie cutter, so it is a lot easier. For a sholom zachor or any simcha I will use a chocolate transfer sheet that says mazel tov on top and it looks beautiful, people are always amazed.

Yellow and red food coloring

What to do:

Very fast, almost no mess, rice krispy treats:

Melt 1/4 c. margarine with 1 small jar of fluff in microwave for 3 minutes. Mix every minute (I only put it in for one minute, and mix it at the 30 second mark)

Pour 5 cups of rice krispies into a 9 x 13. Add melted fluff and margarine to the pan, mix in the pan, and press down. Refrigerate.

This way you only have one bowl to wash Wink
