A whole bunch of cheaply-made shower radios as wedding gifts, but it was our own gosh darn fault. My husband insisted on scanning that particular item to our registry and accidentally scanned it about 8 times! Can't Believe It LOL

Two wedding presents stand out. I got a pretty silver honey dish that didn't quite fit into its base. When I tried to return it, the store asked "where's the rest of it?" Turns out that the biggest piece (the silver part that the glass insert was supposed to be in) was missing! Surprised That's how we got it. Not sure what happened there.

We also got a pair of Amazing Savings-like glass candlesticks from a super-mega-wealthy couple. Which was fine. Except that they had melted wax in them
LOL

Mocha, you gotta agree that this is funny!

My husband bought me potpourri envelopes as a gift. For those of you who think it’s better than nothing, it’s way worse than nothing Mad Mad.
(I later found out that my clueless hs sil bought it because my husband asked her to buy something. I almost killed her.)

My problem is a gift you don’t know what it is. Don’t ask the gift giver what a
4 section decanter is because they may not know either:

My in laws came to visit us after a trip to Europe. They had brought gifts for all of us:

Expensive clothing for the kids
A brand name leather belt for my dh

Then they handed me a gift bag and I peeked inside and saw what looked like a wallet. I thanked them profusely. When I opened it I saw that it was actually a little zipper case with very cheaply made toenail clippers and a nail file, complete with rust spots. I suspect that they remembered at the last minute that they didn't have anything for me so they ran in to some discount store and grabbed whatever. It was.. interesting.

When my daughter was born we got a beautiful baby boys outfit...from my sister in law that is super close to me. Turned out she called the boutique to order from and said she wants something “with bows.” The people in the store heard “boys.” I returned it and got my daughters kiddish outfit from there. We had a good laugh.

Put one part alcohol to 3 parts water for ‘a bit tipsy but not drunk’ results.

Supposedly you can place four different liquors or syrups into this and pour all out at once. Major cool Laugh Must be fun to clean.

Why don't you wish for a gift you would like??? LOL

Because if I got to a point of not liking a present, then it means I must have gotten so many that I do like.

I received a callus remover foot cream from a student's parents as an end of the year gift when I was in my 20's. I did end up using it & certainly appreciated the thought.
