Planning on trying a few recipes for chanukka, do not see these below items in large online grocery website, are they named differently or make from scratch, if yes how?

condensed cream,
green tea powder,
lime zest,
creme fraiche

Thanks in advance! Smile

Lime zest is easy, just order one or two fresh limes.

Creme fraiche can be made from heavy cream plus yogurt, sour cream, or buttermilk.

Green tea powder is also called matcha. You can try making your own in a pinch.

Never heard of condensed cream. It sounds like a day that's solid at room temperature, so maybe you can play a bit.

I'd be willing to bet that condensed cream is a mistake and what is meant is condensed creamer. This is a fake condensed milk that contains ingredients like oil, skim milk powder and thickeners that are not found in the real thing. I would skip it and use condensed milk. If you're CY and can't find CY condensed milk, you can make your own. Google for recipes.

Lime zest is not sold anywhere. You buy limes and preferably a zester. If not, fine grater would work

You can substitute creme fraiche with sour cream.

Green tea powder is called matcha. You can make your own by pulverising green tea in a coffee grinder

To clarify, lime zest is very finely grated lime peel. (Just the very outside part)

Condensed cream is also sweetened condensed milk.

When I read your ingredients list (except for the green tea powder), I immediately wondered if you were making a key lime pie!! 😋 YUM!
