Anyone heard of this? As far as I can tell, it's a lot like swallowing Orbeez. (It is made of pork derived gelatin, so not kosher.)

I’m not sure why you’d ask about this here.

I'm not sure why you would wonder about that.

Because you mention its made from pig geletin so it's not kosher. (unless plenity isn't but orbeez is?) So why would you ask about this on a frum website?

Plenity is a device (not legally a med) available by prescription only and is used to treat people with a disease, obesity, that has the potential to become life threatening. If it is causing high blood pressure The person may already be in the category of yesh sakana. I believe there's only one prescription medication certified kosher at this time and in general I don't usually check if my prescription medications are kosher. Like, if I get prescribed an antibiotic I take it without a second thought. It's Pesach right now and ingredients become an issue, but not necessarily kashrus (to my knowledge).
So this would definitely be something to ask a rav about. I don't know how seriously they take obesity and I'm sure it varies from case to case. But I don't think it was wrong of you to ask about it on this website.

Any updates on this? Has anyone tried it?
