Have you tried prism glasses for your child?

Did you find that it helped, or not?

Tried prism glasses and we tried vision therapy.
Did not help.
Needed surgery.

My brother had surgery, vision therapy, and a prism. The combination worked.

I'm asking about prism glasses to help children who are reading slowly. Has anyone found that they worked?

We did them for tracking and convergence issues. They did help, until they didn't. I did have one kid who insisted she wasn't seeing double until she got the glasses, and realized that she had been.

Try to put the child's sefer or book or notes on a shtender at a decent angle, and see if that helps. Slant boards can help with some of these issues. Ds used one while doing vision therapy instead of glasses.

Do the prism glasses make the eyes worse? (because the eyes get used to it). Someone told me that her son got prism glasses and then his eyes got worse when he wasn't wearing them. Anyone else had this?
