Took my son to 5 interviews a few weeks ago.
Havent heard back from any school. Does that mean we didnt get in anywhere? When do they usually give answers? If you didnt get in, do they let you know or you just dont hear back?

Which schools?....still waiting for interview here....
As far as I know, I usually got an answer closer to January.

Surprised by this.
I know some boys schools that already gave answers (both yes and no) and did not require any calls to follow up.
But these are not chassidish schools. Don’t know about those.

You need to call them and nudge them. I had given an application to a school for my daughter when I was still looking into moving to monsey and I waited and waited for an answer. After 6 weeks I finally remembered to call them and their answer was that they weren't sure what to do with the application because nobody in the school could vouch for me so they put me in the maybe pile and promptly forgot about me. Within a week I got the answer of no and the check I sent for application fee returned.
You gotta call them.

I can only presume it helps weed out the blanket applications and "safety school" apps- because it is too much work for most people to "run after" more that maybe 2-3 places.
But yeah it is kind of nonsense it's not so clear who doesn't want you and who is trying to save resources!
