Thank you for your ideas.

Bake with chicken.

I wish I could just eat your dried fruit. Peaches and California apricots are the best!

Alternatively, dice it and make tea candy!

If they are larger slices, dip in melted chocolate. You can even sprinkle coconut flakes, sprinkles, edible pearls, nuts etc.

For smaller/ diced fruit: melt chocolate with a bit of sprinkles. Drop spoonfuls and parchment paper and garnish with fruit. You can do the same idea in a bark form.

Here's a recipe: https://www.kosher.com/recipe/.....-8592

I'd eat them! How about posting on a local chat that you'd like to give them away?

How about making homemade granola or trail mix? Dice, mix with your choice of nuts, grains, seeds, maybe some chocolate chips.

Do you guys like duck sauce / apricot sauce chicken?
You can make a jelly/fruit preserve from the dried fruit.

Add them to a lamb or chicken tagine for authentic Moroccan flavor, and serve over rice.

The day before you are ready to make hamentashen, soak them in a little hot water, and then grind them into a paste. Instant filling!

If you are feeling brave, make fruitcake. The Joy of Cooking has a really good recipe. It's best if you store the fruitcake in ziplock bags, and pour a little brandy over them every few days. So yum!

Use it in granola. But dont bake it with the granola because then it will burn. Just mix it in as soon as the granola comes out of the oven

What kind of dried fruit?

Different fruits can be used in different ways - prunes are different than apricots or mangos. For example, there are some delicious cakes that use prunes and many chicken or meat recipes use dried apricots

Do you need specific recipes. Moroccan recipes use dried fruits a lot - in tagines and couscous.

Compote. Two ways:
1. Put fruit in a saucepan, cover with cold water. Bring to boil for 5 minutes, turn off heat and let sit till cool. Refrigerate. If desired, add any whole spices like cinnamon stick, cloves, allspice, dried or fresh ginger before cooking. If you forgot, add ground spices after cooking. Easy-shmeasy.

2. Easier-shmeasier for planners-ahead: Put fruit (and spices if desired) in a jar. Cover with boiling water. Refrigerate when sufficiently cool. Let stand at least 3-4 days before serving. The longer you wait, the better it gets.
