Hi
I'm making a simcha in a few weeks iyh. I'm doing my own Hostess boxes. I have 4 small boxes (2 inch square) to fill with candy items. They are labeled: sweet, salty, chewy and crunchy. Any ideas of what can go in there that can be packaged a few weeks in advance without getting stale or hard?
Thanks!

Salty and crunchy boxes should have shrink wrapped food in them if made in advance.

Salty: almonds (the mini half oz bags might fit in your boxes)
Crunchy: mini pretzels (those tiny bags might fit in your box and then you don't have to shrink wrap them)
Sweet: petite fruit candy
Chewy: taffy (comes wrapped)
Blue Diamond mini almonds

If the simcha is after Purim and you are putting guests up at people's houses, don't put in any chometz.

This- first thought. I'd actually start avoiding now- a lot of people are starting to clean bedrooms already.

A small box of light refreshments (nosh, water, sometimes candles/matches) that gets put in the guests rooms where they'll be staying at for shabbos.
