Mix in some raw eggs, pepper, salt and mash it together. Fry on each side and you have chremslach! Potato latkes but with cooked potatoes not raw.

Repurposing mashed potatoes is easy. The things I've made were chremslach-make a snow and it's even better, shepherds pie, doughless potato knishes.

Use them for pierogis!

1. Mix 1 cup water, 1 egg, 2 tsp canola oil, and 1 tsp of salt. Add in 3 cups of flour until you get a smooth, soft dough. Let stand room temp for 1 hour.
2. Roll out the dough and use an upside down cup to cut into circles. Place a spoonful of the mashed potatoes inside each one and pinch closed to make a dumpling.
3. Boil salter water again in a big pot and drop in the dumplings. They will rise to the surface of the pot; then wait five minutes and remove onto a plate.
4. To make onion topping, sautee an onion with a bit of margarine or oil. Mix the pierogis into the onion pan.

I cut in a generous amount of onion, an egg and a little matzo meal or panko crumbs and fry. Sometimes I add parsley or any other random stuff I want to use up.
