Not sure if this was done when the other stimulus checks were given out but now that’s we’re probably getting a third (if you qualify) I’m curious to see what people spent/are planning to spend it on!

I bought myself a new shaitel- first new one since I got married 7 yrs ago. Rest went into savings.

I started to pay off my debt, and with that first big push, I found myself being more careful....and B"H I am now cc debt free. It feels amazing.

Bills. (Food/tuition/gas & electric/ pesach expenses...)
Mortgage payments are on hold. DH has been out of work for a year now. Spends hours every day looking on monster/indeed...., speaking to headhunters, and interviewing and sending out resumes and thank you letters. Please Hashem he should find something, the right thing, soon.

Thanks to dh not having a SSN, I never got the first payment (though since they changed the rules I now hope to be able to get it after filing my taxes). The second one was relatively small and just went to daily expenses since I lost out on a lot of income this year. The third round we hope to use to help put in a new bathroom. We haven't done any work on our home and have been living here well over a decade and it was already extremely run down when we moved in.

The first 2 were spent on a car we desperately needed since my husband had to take a job farther away. The third will iyH be spent on buying a house closer to his job. So did we directly lose income because of the pandemic? No, but these were expenses we didn't have a year ago.

Saving it to use when unemployment runs out. Dh has been looking for a job since March. This will give me 3 months of mortgage. (Family of 7) Hashem always pulls through in the end.

IY"H most will go to savings.
Some will go to debts (unpaid bills).
Some will prob go to college courses for DH to complete his degree.
Maybe we will use some for other things - a dryer, dishwasher, or easy chair, maybe passports or plane tickets. Not sure yet. Maybe none of them just the other stuff mentioned - savings, college, bills.
