Hi
My son recently had an evaluation. Can any experienced Ima’s please chime in with their experiences? Looking at a probable ADHD diagnosis. Trying to see how much of a player anxiety is.
I’m still confused as to how they can even assess anxiety.
What was your experience?
Was it accurate?
Did the meds help?
How was the process?

What did the evaluation show? How old is your child? Who did the evaluation?

DC is ten. No results yet but definitely looks like ADHD with some anxiety. Possibly some spectrum type things but likely not enough to diagnose
I’d rather not post my location...

No short answer- who did the evals? How skilled? It's a long journey. Trial and error with meds, therapy, support. Don't expect a magic cure. It's a human being with many facets.
Ask questions, and be very thorough with your own info you share. That's the best help you can give a practitioner.
