For another child who nonchalantly mentioned checking on someone that they are not making a fire because they dont like their family.

Selective mutism/anxiety can be treated by a therapist.
Did not understand what you wrote about the fire.
How do you know the child has ASD. Who diagnosed them?

How do you know the child has ASD. Who diagnosed them? | I do not know of the child has ASD I am looking for a someone to diagnose ASD or rule it out.
About the fire: my dear child mentioned that we should check on someone in case they are making a fire if they dont like their family. That line of thinking sounds disturbing to me. Im wondering if there are some major issues going on inside.
