I need a really small one cuz my apartment is tiny. All the ones I see online are too big. And also so expensive. 😳 Why is a toddler bed $220.

Can anyone help.

I actually bought one from amazon from less and brought it to a woodworker to customize (make it smaller) cuz I just don’t have the space. Finding a mattress is tougher tho

too big? they're the size of a regular crib. A kid thats ready to sleep on a 'bed' is usually too big for a porta-crib size.

This is my favorite. It’s as small as you can get for a toddler bed. And it’s on the floor, so there’s essentially no weight limit so adults can sit in the bed too. If you don’t like the characters it’s fine- it comes as a sticker that you have to put on yourself.

Yes she's still in a porta crib but I need it for baby who is way too big for her bassinet.

That's actually a great idea, but where would I put baby. I didn't really want to put the porta crib in my bedroom because it would be so squishy but don't see another choice.

It's usually quite expensive for what it is. It would be cheaper to buy a second basic crib.
We bought a crib from Ikea which turns into a toddler bed but it's the same size as a crib which is great for space saving. The mattress cost us maybe $30 from amazon.

Will just add I don't know how old your dc is or what stage of development, but if they're not climbing out their crib, I wouldn't rush to move them to a bed. It's much harder when they're in a bed as they don't stay put.

My big one is 2.5, she is in our second bedroom in a porta crib. she does not climb out.

My baby is 5m she is in our room in a bassinet but she is getting way too big for it.
I thought to put her in porta crib in our room and get big one a toddler bed but now I am all confused.

I personally would look at buying for your older one a cheap convertible crib to toddler bed, such as the one from Ikea as it only takes up the same space as a crib, whilst a toddler bed is usually longer and wider.
From experience, if your child is not climbing out of their crib, I would leave them in a crib as long as possible. I feel so much safer knowing that when my child has been put to bed, they won't come out of bed and wander around the house, whether it's at night or when they wake up in the morning.

So maybe I will just take one side off porta crib and call it a "bed." Then I will buy another porta crib for baby. Does that make sense? Does anyone have a foldable cheap porta crib

Then you’ll end up with two porta cribs and in a year you’ll need a bigger bed for the older one. It’s more cost effective to just get a full toddler bed already, they say they are good until age six. My daughter is almost six and is still very happy and cozy in hers.
