Is it the style today for girls to wear dresses that make them look 20 lbs more than they are?
Like long flowy bottom and puffy top?

Yes! And I absolutely love them!
I'm pretty thin but hate when people pay attention to my body and say thin= positive thick= negative.
With these dresses I can feel good in my body and know that people's eyes aren't roaming.

I'm so out of it but my daughter came home with a dress for a wedding. She is in shidduchim and it literally makes her look 20 lbs heavier. Or more.
But I guess this is what's in.

We only buy what looks good - regardless of the trends. There's always something stylish to buy, it's just takes longer to find.
But if you're daughter likes it and is happy - that's what counts.

I'm completely fashion-illiterate, so ignore me if I'm way off, but how are these so different than the potato sacks that have been in style? If anything, these are just a slightly more shaped version.

Yes exactly I love these dresses they look good on my bump 🤩 but if I wasn't pregnant my goodness I would have the worst self esteem in one of these.

The ones with smocking on the waist help define it or get a smocked top or skirt, with a sleeker second piece.
