Other than bubble wrap, tefillahs & hiding in a cave-
Any reasonable natural preventions?
Just can’t think of having to deal with the flu here and apparently my daughters class is already mostly infected...

Please help!

My doctor said no elderberry if anyone has allergies as it can irritate them.

As in they can have an allergy to elderberry or because of immune response?

Quercitin (a supplement - no prescription) is a zinc ionophore. Similar to HCQ but not a drug.

I would add taking a couple of drops of iodine in water to help prevent colds/flu.
And to treat colds/flu.

Garlic is considered a natural antibiotic. Chop some raw garlic and add to chummos.

Also using a nebulizer is very helpful in treating cold/flu.

If you don't have a nebulizer, sit in front of a pot of steaming water (off the stove) and
inhale. Put a towel over your head and the pot of water to create a tent and trap the steam.

I can do most of these things for myself, but kids- ugh, they probably will not take to this too well especially prophylacticly. I wish I can homeschool...

So is it counterproductive?

Eta, kids don’t have allergies that I know of bh- but in general what’s the story about the immune response?

Personally, I wouldn't give zinc or quercetin as prevention.

I would give
Vitamin d
Vitamin c
Elderberry
Probiotics

At the first sign of flu, I would give oscillo

I like olive leaf extract over elderberry as an antiviral. It’s less immune stimulating and more inhibiting replication. Also good for throat and lungs.

Elderberry is good for the flu, echinacea, vitamin c, vitamin d… there are many different vitamins you can take to support the immune system. Some come already put together in one tablet. Go pick something up at the health food store.

Oscillo
Goldenseal
Olive leaf extract
Safe during pregnancy?
How to know? My doctor won’t know.
Any interactions with other meds?

I was recommended by a RD friend to stay away from goldenseal.

If she’s little buy vitamin c gummy bears with zinc

An older child or adult should take buffered vitamin c from klair labs. It has zinc and some other things.
