I have a pack of capons that I want to bake. My kids don’t like rice or any veggie stuffing. Was thinking of stuffing it with pastrami. Do I need to sauté it first? Anything else I should I add? Was thinking of just pouring duck sauce on top.

Just sauté onions and then cut pastrami into strips. Mix with a bit of your favorite sauce (spicy, sweet, or a mix). Stuff. Season/glaze and bake.

I saute Pastrami and onion. Add in rice or orzo. Some onion soup mix and soy sauce. On top I put some oil and spices. But you can do whatever your family likes.

I would make a quick kishka
1 C flour
1/2 C oil
1/2 C water
Salt & pepper
& add chopped pastrami sautéed with some onions to the kishka.
Put a bit of duck sauce on the capons & bake.
