Cute poll!

I'm not sure what to answer because I've gotten one or two results on online quizzes, but a friend pegged me as something else which actually makes a lot of sense. But I also don't want to answer not sure because that's no fun. Maybe I'll take another couple of online quizzes for your sake.

I'm a four too. Sometimes I love it; and sometimes I hate it with a passion. (fours are all about passion Wink

)

I think some people are not sure of their numbers, but every four will know who they are after reading a paragraph of description.

Personally I'm not really into the Enneagram. I don't believe in typing systems. When I've done the quiz, I've gotten five or nine, maybe some others too. I didn't vote and almost didn't open the thread.

(My vote would've been for know what the Enneagram is, not interested)

I'm guessing people who end up in four are more interested in personality typing so there is probably a disproportionate amount of responses from fours.

I think a lot of people who know the enneagram only on a surface level think they’re 4s when they actually aren’t. Every teenage girl at some point will think she’s a 4 cuz during ur teenage years ur everythings so intense and you feel so emotional abt everything, but that doesn’t mean ur actually a 4.

I'm a four as well. I think the fours are more into these types of things; that's why they'll be here. The others couldn't care less...

And everyone on this site is (hopefully) a grown adult. Fours are definitely wired for self awareness , intuition and a desire to know themselves and to understand others on a deep level. Which would make us the first to open such threads and vote.

Whenever there are threads about introverts, hsps or enneagram type 4-s; it seems we are the majority on this site. But I doubt this is the case. These threads simply attract us Smile

I assume I'm an 8. Haven't read the ideas in depth (Miriam adaha nd book) in 20 years or so...

Me too. It places people unnecessarily into boxes, and it can very easily be misused and abused for evil purposes.

I'm a 6. I'm a walking contradiction.

I'm scared to try new things but then fight the fear by instead impulsively jumping in.

I'm always overthinking things. I'll start thinking of reasons why my coworker might be upset with me before I even know she is actually upset. True story, happened last week.

I can always see so many possibilities and am good at playing devils advocate.

For those saying that those not delving deep I enneagram always just assume they're a 4, I agree. I used to think I'm a 4. I'm passionate, value genuine uniqueness and I'm deeply creative. But when you take time to really learn it, you realize it's more about what your core motivations and fears are.
