Can we please have a link to the "right" chopper tool? I've been thinking of getting one too. I'm a little worried about wasting space on gadgets because I'm always short on space but the fantasy of having things get chopped automatically is very compelling.

love my crepe pan I use just for pesach! (to make non gebrokts crepes/lokshen, but you probably could do gebrokts if you wanted to!)
Crock pot--I use it all the preceding week to cook things overnight or to reheat things on yom tov. (I'd use it for cholent on shabbos but we aren't big cholent fans here.)
Pressure cooker (instant pot or stove top)--great for making big batches of sweet potatoes, potatoes, eggs, roast, chicken
I make parve ice cream with beaten separated eggs, and I use a hand mixer which is fine, but a stand mixer would be nice....

For those that use the Braun food processor a lot, we bought the French fry attachment that is really nice (makes short neat fries).

Amazing! Does this work for potatoes as well?
Also, the peels look quite thick? Does it waste apple?

Interesting. Is there a learning curve? Meats are usually easiest for me, just dump ingredients and forget about it for a few hours, and I usually make a bunch at once.

I second having a good crepe pan.
Another useful idea for crepes if you need a lot and can do before y”t or child hamoed - use a hot plate! You get much more at once, is consistent temp. You do have to figure out how to flip, I usually cut in half and flip half a time.
Stuff some silver foil in the drain hole.

This.
Also wouldn’t a small hand chopper/food processor be easier to use and clean? Something like this. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Q.....ss_tl or this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z.....ss_tl (I don’t have either, was just browsing)

I have something like that and don't find it that easy to use, it's not really strong enough for carrots (not sure if the one being recommended here is) and you can't get any uniformity in the pieces

I wanted a chopper but couldn't find the right one either. Either they're too small or aren't made well.

Not really a gadget, but I got this last year and made it chometz so I need to order a new one! It was a great way to let clean dishes and pots dry without taking up valuable counter space!
Every Friday night I wash out the kiddush cups and let it dry overnight on this. Much more stable than putting it on the edge of the sink, and easy to roll out of the way when not needed.

I bought something like this last year: https://www.amazon.com/Foldabl.....ss_tl
I closed all my cabinets and drawers and put three of these in the kitchen/adjoining LR. It didn’t look like Better Homes and Gardens, with all my Pesach stuff on display, but it was so worth it! I think the hardest part of Pesach prep used to be emptying and scrubbing and lining the cabinets and drawers. They store folded in a storage room and don’t take up much room the rest of the year.

We love love love our sous vide, the meats come out so tender, but thoroughly and safely cooked. No real learning curve, dump everything in a vacuum sealed bag or carefully sealed Ziploc with all the air squeezed out, set it, walk away, come back when it's done.

My parents use these.

Not as pretty but much cheaper. Also easy assembly and folds small.

Can do same with sweet potatoes, beets, etc...for roasted root vegetables. Also great for chopping veggies for soup. |
How does do you do the potatoes? Do you need to slice it first (lengthwise)?
Would it work for really hard veggies like carrots?

I posted earlier about the apple peeler…
I just went back to check my old orders.
I have the farberware one.
I have it for 5 years and my kids still love using it.

Doesn’t work for potatoes cuz it’s coring and slicing…
The apple ends up in a long spiral like a slinky with a hole in the center
