We once went to play with kittens at a local animal shelter. I wouldn’t know where in Brooklyn though.

In the tri-state area? Please post name of shelter. The ones I've called only allow volunteers that come every week so that the dogs get used to you.

I live in the tristate area now, but not at the time that my kids did this. I have no idea around here.

There was a shelter in Kensington at one point that let you take a dog out for a walk. No idea if it's still there and I don't remember what it's called. Somewhere near Caton Ave maybe?
