I am looking for information about locations to move. We are looking to move/buy a home to north NJ area (Passaic or Teaneck but open to other communities) but we are not overly familiar with the communities/where would be a good fit. We are right wing modern orthodox (I cover my hair fully and husbands wants location with steady minyans but we are not yeshivish). We want a place that has groceries, restaurants right wing MO schools available but not somewhere super congested.

My sister lives in Fairlawn and it sounds like what you are looking for. I think you can arrange to visit for shabbos through the shul.

You would certainly be happy in Teaneck/Bergenfield. Fairlawn is lovely and growing but still a little out of things in terms of your kids having classmates nearby.

Passaic is pretty diverse but I'm not sure there's anything you would call RWMO. ybh/young israel is I think slightly to the right of that.
Not to say that RWMO wouldn't fit in but they would likely send to schools in the Teaneck/bergenfield area

I think we match your description and we are happy in Passaic at Young Israel and YBH. There are families that fit your description (mostly at YIPC and the Tif) but it is a minority of the broader Passaic/Clifton community overall in my opinion.

I'm RWMO and live in Fair Lawn. We live on the Shomrei/Darchei side of town (and go to both shuls.) We send to RYNJ for school. My 3rd grade boy has over a dozen boys from his grade in town!
