Food safety question

I made a big batch of food and froze them in small portions in normal cheap plastic disposable cups.
After I did this I realised it may not be safe to freeze plastic that's not specifically freezer safe...
For people who have researched this somewhat, would you eat the food? Would you feed your kids the food? Would it make a difference if you are nursing?
I've tried googling but I'm confused. Help!

No problem. It's heat that leaches plasticizers into food, not cold. Not freezer safe means the plastic may crack.

I would but I wouldn't microwave the food in the containers.

Thank you for your replies! There is a lot of scary things about freezing plastic in general (the way I heard about this was about warnings not to freeze water bottles for school children in the summer)

Its in the same category as not using foil tins or aluminum foil, etc.
If you're careful with all these things, there's def. research about freezing plastics releasing chemicals or something of that sort.
