Watching the MET Gala

I'm watching the met gala and I have only one comment!
make it stop!!

It gets worse by the minute. there is someone dressed up as an oversized cat in fur, and another woman who distorted her face to look like a cat.
lets not talk about the woman with feathers standing a foot in the air, or the dress hardly covering the nipples.
what else did you see?

Makes me proud that I have a bit more meaning in my life.

Ok, if it's not for you, don't watch it! Personally I enjoy seeing all the outfits, even if they're totally off the wall. Not sure how you can extrapolate that these people don't have meaning in their life because they wore an outfit you don't like?

It is a themed event. People will dress according to each years theme. It’s not necessarily costumes as much as it is just the biggest fashion event to show off carefully curated outfits

This year the theme is Karl Lagerfeld. So everyone is taking inspiration from him for their outfits, whether it be outfits he actually designed, or yes even outfits to look like his cat..

I looked through the pictures and wow, overall the dresses were terrible.

IMO Rachel Brosnahan was the worst/most tasteless. Miranda Kerr is the winner for me - just a beautiful dress on a beautiful woman, like it should be Smile

I didn’t have patience to look through all of them but you got me curious. I actually think the cat is adorable and a true homage to Karl Lagerfeld. I really don’t get some of the other getups. And some of the men😳.

I actually really loved Lizzo's outfit, even though it wasn't so outrageous. I missed Blake Lively this year, she always steals the show!

Kylie Jenner's outfit was stunning??? It looked like she threw sheets or tablecloths on herself.... wouldn't call that stunning.

She’s wearing a red dress with cut outs and a blue satin coat over it. She later ditched the coat.

(Apparently the critics say she wasn’t on theme though. I think she was the only one in red at all. Most outfits were black or cream.)

Many people start with some kind of cover up.
To me it’s quite classy. Matter of taste I guess.
