What are the different kinds? What are the prices? Where can she get them (we live in Lakewood)? And how does it work?

I think it would be difficult for someone who has never used extensions to be able to put then in without having them look bad.
There are two kinds of extensions - the ones that are semi-permanent where they are put in at a beauty salon. If they are done skillfully these look the most natural and last for awhile with proper maintenance.
There are various styles of temporary hair extensions. However, as I posted, you would be best buying them from a salon or other establishment where you get lessons on how to put them in. If you google bad hair extensions, you can see examples of how terrible they look when not done right - both permanent and temporary.
