I currently have the Canon 6d and am looking to switch to mirrorless. (I only have the 85 1.8 lens so I would change brands if Sony is better)

I'd like quick and sharp focus and good color sooc. I'm not sure about the Sony colors.

If anyone has experience and knowledge in this area I'd appreciate it!

I went from canon dslr to sony mirrorless and don’t regret it at all. The Sony is tack sharp. Fast and light (coming from a 5D IV - so huge difference). What will you be using the camera for - personal or professional use?

Thanks for the response. Which model do you have?
It's for personal use.
How do you find the color on the Sony?
(I know one person with a Sony and her photos seem a bit less ... vibrant? More "muddy"- not sure how to describe it. But he's is a few years old so maybe that's improved? )

Colors will be just as good in the Sony. Both shoot in RAW so the vibrancy really comes down to personal choice in post processing.

What Zahava said. RAW photos need to be processed so your colors will look however you edit them. Unless you’re shooting in jpeg.
Personally I had to make a couple small changes to my edits to get the colors to how I like them.
If for personal use I recommend you consider the Sony A73. It’s a fabulous camera at a great price point.

I do shoot in jpeg usually, because I'm not that good at fixing colors(I've learnt other aspects of photo editing but I find achieving
accurate coloring more complicating. )
That's why I'd like a camera with pretty good coloring.

You can rent one so you can get a feel for it and the colors.

I have the Canon R5 and my friend has the canon R6. We are both extremely satisfied with it. I bought an adapter when I switched over to mirrorless, so I can use the lenses I already had.
It has great eye focus and you easily get high quality sharp images.

Sony was the first to go mirrorless, but at this point I’d go with canon.
I have the r6 mk ii, and I love it. I’m not thrilled with the megapixel count but I’m not making billboards so even when I blow up 40x60 it’s tack sharp.
If I had the extra thousand, I’d go with the r5
As for colors, I personally like canon colors better for studio photography and nikon better for outdoor. I have no idea about Sony to be honest
I’d stick with canon if I were you
